Moving beyond 20 years of training goaltenders, Alexander Goaltending continues to improve, develop and expand it's program offerings to meet the changing needs of the goaltending community. With a commitment to bring the latest in skill development to their students, they devote countless hours to the research and study of the latest professional teaching.

John Alexander brings over 20 years of experience to teaching goaltending. Most recently, he was a goaltending consultant to the Amherst Junior A Ramblers for 10 years. His previous experiences also include 3 years as Goaltending Coach with the University of Moncton Blue Eagles and every AAA level in Minor Hockey where he worked extensively with current EIHL Edinburgh Capitals goaltender, Travis Fullerton. 
He currently acts as a Private Consultant providing technical evaluations on goaltenders playing at all levels to various coaches, recruiters & scouts and is a personal consultant and trainer to several top-level goaltenders and consultant to Minor Hockey Associations. Recently, John has returned to work with the MHL Amherst Junior A Ramblers again as their Goaltender Coach.

David Alexander is a graduate of Moncton Minor Hockey system, winning Provincial and Atlantic championships and later moving on to a successful career in the OPJJHL where he played for 3 seasons. His previous experiences include 4 years Goaltending Coach with the MMAAA Fredericton Canadiens where he played a significant role in the development of Jake Allen (NHL St. Louis Blues).

Shortly after, David moved on to work with the NCAA University of Maine Black Bears asgoaltending coach and after 4 years there, was hired by the Tampa Bay Lightening as goaltending/video coachwith their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.  Following a successful 4 year career with Syracuse, ending with theCrunch competing for the AHL Championship Calder Cup, David was offered a position as goaltendingcoach with the NHL St. Louis Blues, a position which he presently holds. 

Master coach - Joel Gauthier

Joel was born & raised in Moncton, NB & played his Minor Hockey at the provincial level right up though Midget. He began coaching goaltenders with Moncton Minor Hockey teams starting in 2004 & joined Alexander Goaltending on a part time basis in December 2006. Beginning in 2007 Joel started working with local Pee Wee & Bantam AAA teams moving up to coach with the Major Midget AAA team in the 2012 - 13 season. That same year Joel began on a full time basis with Alexander Goaltending. Presently, Joel works with the QMJHL Screaming Eagles as goaltending coach with additional responsibilities for video.

MASTER COACH - Patrick Magee

Patrick Magee: D.O osteopathy, M.Sc biomechanics (McGill), B.Sc, kinesiology (UNB). Pat is also a certified strength & conditioning coach. Pat’s past experiences include working with the McGill University and the Montreal Canadiens AHL affiliate as their strength & conditioning coach and Osteopathy advisor.  Presently, Pat works as a strength & conditioning coach to Montreal area athletes including several who compete at the Olympic level.

MASTER COACH - Kirk Gormley

Presently, Kirk is a High School Teacher at Leo Hayes High School in Fredericton. He is goaltending coach with the MHL Woodstock Junior A Slammers and is also goaltending coach with Saint Thomas University Women's Hockey team. He has previously worked with the Hockey New Brunswick Team Atlantic U18 Ladies and U14 Male programs and other HNB high performance activities

Master Coach - Kyle MacDonald

Kyle is presently goaltending coach with the University of New Brunswick VREDS men’s hockey team.  Kyle is also advisor toHockey New Brunswick program of excellence is a coach with Hockey Canada at their female identification camps
